How to obtain the best kitchen remodel:

Check Credentials:

Is the design company a properly insured licensed business experienced in the type of project you are doing. Is the installer/lead man a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor?

Are all sub contractors licensed and insured? The design company should provide written copies of all licenses and insurance.

Do diligence:

See the projects that the company has done that are like the one you are going to do and talk to the clients.

Ask Questions like:

1) Did the workforce stay on the job or were there long periods of time when nothing was going on.

2) Was the workforce conversant and respectful? In other words, were you listened to?

3) Did they leave the site clean as possible each day? Unreasonable amounts of dust and garbage on job?

4) Was the designer/sales person considerate in his approach, allowing you time to make up your mind or did he use "high pressure" techniques to try and hurry up your decision?
